361: Watching Intentions Manifest

Last week, I talked about how synchronicity dances in my life and suggested that you take time to notice how synchronicity moves in and out of your experience.  For this week, I’d like to take things a step deeper and invite you to explore how your conscious intentions interact with synchronicity to create, or manifest, what you want, need, or intend.

Here’s an everyday example that gave me a few moments of delight.  I noticed, one day, that my new microwave oven had a bad scratch on the top and I thought it would be nice to find a magnet or sticker to cover the scratch.  I didn’t put a lot of energy into finding anything; I just held the thought that it would be nice to have something there that would look more appealing than the scratch.  Then, a month or so later, I visited with a friend.  In her guest bedroom, she had created a gift basket and told me that I could have anything I wanted from the basket.  Sitting along the edge of it was a square, flexible magnet measuring about three inches by three inches with a beautiful message written on it.  I asked her if I could have it and then brought it home.  It now sits beautifully over the scratch on my microwave oven and, in addition, each morning I read the inspirational message as I prepare breakfast.

While this is a most mundane example of watching intentions manifest, it’s the kind of thing that happens all the time with the help of synchronicity.  And, it’s the kind of experience this week’s experiment invites you to notice more actively in your life.

In engaging the experiment this week, play with two different elements of it.  First, think of things you want or need specifically and notice what happens over the course of the week.  Do you suddenly find yourself receiving what you needed, or in some way moving closer to the outcome you sought to have?

Secondly, pay attention to anything that surprises you as a solution to something you’d given up thinking about, or some other issue or situation that hasn’t been on your mind but has needed a solution.  Whenever you explore synchronicity, a key element is to be consciously and actively aware of these moments – small or large – of meaningful coincidence and actively express gratitude for how they move through your life.

As I’ve mentioned in many of the experiments, the active expression of gratitude generates an important and powerful energy in your life.  It’s like a magnet and enables even more synchronicity to come into your life.

As with all the experiments, please remember to leave judgment behind and allow curiosity to be your constant companion.  And, have fun with this one.  Playing with synchronicity is like a dance and it can be delightful to generate an intention and then just notice what happens next!
